Summary

I'm a 2D game artist and I'm actively looking for a remote full-time opportunity working on mobile games. Sadly my previous employer of 7 years had layoffs and declared insolvency in August. I think at one point or another we have all gone through a difficult time in our careers, but I wont let this unfortunate bump in the road keep me from following my dreams. There are several positives that have come out of this. I've enjoyed much more time with my kids, I can't help but feel truly blessed. I'm also working on my own projects and online stores, while accepting Freelance work and making meaningful connections that I never dreamed were possible! It's certainly a different kind of work lifestyle for me, and I have to admit, I am thoroughly enjoying it! I try to keep my LinkedIn Profile updated with my availability, so check it out if you need help on your next project!

Combined I have seventeen years experience as a 2D artist in Animation and Mobile Games. I am passionate about games and dream of working on AAA titles. Technology now allows working remotely pretty close to seamless. If you're looking for a hardworking, self starter, I'm right here! Feel free to contact me to discuss full time or part time positions.
My Experience in a nutshell:
*Lead Illustrator for social and mobile games (7 years)
*Lead Character Designer / Rig Supervisor for animation television (6 years).
*Compositor and ink and painter (4 years).

My strengths are creating 3D looking art painted in Photoshop, or 2D vector. I'm a Flash Rigging guru, and understand the importance of optimizing assets for mobile games along with the many device sizes required. I'm a self starter with a couple art projects on the go. Time-zones are not an issue for me. If required, I'll wake up when you wake up! But if you're 4 hours behind, you might just find work sitting in your inbox before you even start your day - I like to get things rolling! :)

  • Lead Illustrator at Fuel Industries
    Ottawa, Canada
    April 2010 - February 2017

My experience ranges from managing art teams (illustration & animation) with aggressive production timelines, and providing visually appealing art for the project(s) at hand. I have the ability to adapt to a variety of artistic styles which can be seen in my portfolio on Behance. I work closely with the illustration director, producers and resource manager to plan an obtainable schedule for myself and the art teams. I am very hands on with production and pipeline, working closely with the Graphic Design team and 3D team, while providing developers with highly organized art assets for integration and solving problems as they arise. It is critical to have effective communication skills and I am familiar with programs such as Basecamp, Confluence, Jira and Asana. I am an active participant in Brainstorm meetings and enjoy coming up with ideas. I have mentored junior illustrators and co-op students to help improve their skills.
